Job Description

Cambridge Elementary School is seeking an experienced and compassionate Certified School Guidance Counselor for their elementary school students.

The Certified School Counselor provides assistance to students, parents, and teachers in making educational, occupational and life plans with a program that will enable the student to reach his/her fullest physical, emotional, psychological, and behavioral potential.

Qualifications:

  • FLDOE Certification in Guidance Counseling K-12 required
  • Master's Degree from an accredited educational institution
  • Experience with elementary education is preferred
  • Florida Driver's License is required

Please note salary is based on verifiable years of teaching experience as per District guidelines.

Let's talk about compensation: Did you know that Brevard Public Schools offers our teachers a pay supplement based on years of experience? Our voters passed a millage last November and all teachers, from zero to 19+ years of experience, will receive a supplement. The pay ranges based on years of experience, but for a teacher with 19+ years teaching, that's approximately an additional $7,302 (pay and supplement are prorated based on start date) in your pocket! This raises the overall compensation higher than our neighboring counties, so create your application to teach within Brevard Public Schools at www.JoinTeamBPS.com today.

We also offer advanced degree supplements, if the advanced degree is related to one's job responsibilities.

Certified school counselors must create an online instructional BEACON application on the BPS website www.JoinTeamBPS.com and apply for this position on our site.

Additionally, you may send a letter of intent and resume to Principal Gina Tagye, at Cambridge Elementary School, however, a BEACON application is required.

We are the largest employer in Brevard County and we are proud to be able to provide excellent medical/dental/vision/life insurance, plus retirement options for all full-time employees.

Special Notes/Instructions
All candidates are required to create an instructional "BEACON" application at www.JoinTeamBPS.com
