Overview

Under the direction of the Director of Talent Development, the Training and Development Specialist is responsible for assessing, planning, developing and administering corporate-wide training as well as the maintenance and execution of the Bank's learning management systems (LMS), including the maintenance, evaluation, licensing, and training for any external tools or technologies within the online classroom, including the testing, evaluation, and support of tools. The Training and Development Specialist will also strategically manage data, reporting, and data analysis of the LMS system.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

    Main administrator for the following systems: LMS (Cornerstone).

  • Create and maintain reports from the following systems: LMS (Cornerstone).

  • Maintains the LMS daily with accurate and up-to-date records of all training programs, classroom and online events, e-learning programs, training content and attendance, this includes testing, integration, and evaluation of third-party content and tolls that integrate with the LMS.

  • Create workflows to ensure that all course resources are properly set up and available.

  • Establish and configure the LMS, including new courses and programs as well as focused on continuous program improvement.

  • Utilizes the LMS system to the fullest extent of the software capabilities, documenting, tracking, and reporting properly and timely.

  • Researches, coordinates, edits and integrates the work of writers and designers to produce layouts that meet established branding and style guidelines.

  • Develops or assists in developing training handouts, guides, manuals, and course materials to supplement training programs, as required.

  • Processes approved requests for third party training seminars/webinars and educational courses ensuring timely payments and reimbursements.

  • Coordinates regulatory and compliance training programs, periodic computer/technical training and computer conversion and update training as needed.

  • Performs duties associated with the preparation of classes including scheduling classes, trainers and students, reserving/confirming training locations, preparing and compiling course materials, training aides, manuals and pre-session assignments and follow up.

  • Ensures set ups are made properly in order to provide a professional department image and in order to properly meet the customer service needs of our internal customers.

  • Researches, develops and prepares training programs relating to, but not limited to, branch operations, bank operations, computer applications, soft skills, new products/systems.

  • Assists Department Heads and Managers with locating third party training programs or seminars necessary to address specific or specialized training needs.

  • Develops and maintains a positive attitude among the bank staff as it relates to training, bank culture, bank values and initiatives.

  • Keeps the Training link on CNB In site current ad up to date in order to provide access to training forms, programs, courses and information updates

  • Maintains current knowledge of policies, procedures, products and services, banking regulations and compliance issues in order to consistently provide updated training and constructive evaluation of the training materials.

  • Maintains vendor relationships as it relates to updates, integrations, and user management.

  • Creates, maintains, and administers internal communication plans as it relates to training and learning initiatives.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned that support the objective of the position.

  • Conduct and facilitate training programs according to Bank's business objectives.

  • Partner up with SMEs to assess and define training needs.

  • Design and create training content, materials, and job aids.

  • Facilitate training via several modalities, including in-person, and virtual.

  • Assist with internal training communications, to include management and update of the monthly learning newsletter.

  • Assist with internal campaigns and initiatives to promote training programs.

Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years experience in the development and delivery of training programs.
  • Minimum 2 years experience administering a Learning Management System (LMS) preferable Cornerstone LMS.
  • Experience and proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
  • Excellent client service, verbal, writing, planning and organizing skills are required

  • Intermediate to advanced PC skills with aptitude for learning and ad understanding software applications and perform technical tasks quickly and accurately.

  • Ability to work in as mall team environment.

  • Must be able to support project deliverables, with strong follow-through capabilities.

  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Must be a self-starter and be able to work independently. Proven knowledge of training design and delivery helpful. Requires lifting up to 25 pounds.

  • When lifting/carrying these type of items, use a cart or a chair with wheels to aid in moving these objects/items.

Education
  • Associate's Degree or equivalent work experience required.
