Provides project management and professional support for Corporate College programs. This position is responsible for managing activities relating to the development, organization, and implementation of a deliverable-based program or initiative. The position requires both program and project management skills and the most current information and knowledge of procedures and regulations related to that program discipline. Work requires the analysis of complex problems, planning of various time-dependent interrelated activities, diverse office administration in support of the program, and the coordination of multiple projects or functions.

Essential Functions/Duties

  • Review and submit quarterly budget and programmatic reports to the Executive Director.
  • Development and implementation of project work plans to ensure successful completion of contract deliverables.
  • Spearhead, coordinate, implement, and evaluate all project partnerships, interactions, and activities with industry throughout the grant service area, including integration of industry workforce development needs and curriculum content.
  • Monitor program deliverables and deadlines.
  • Coordinate with the Executive Director to identify, create, and plan appropriate class offerings for either credit or non-credit courses.
  • Develop partnerships with educational institutions, workforce boards, program related businesses, and business industries statewide; participate in partner functions.
  • Reconcile internal project budget tracking with BANNER reports.
  • Development of plans for monitoring and analyzing the statewide educational and training needs of businesses and industries within the scope of the grant's objectives.
  • Development of program information on the Polk State or project website.
  • Identify industry or program-relevant certifications, credentials, and best practices appropriate to the project or initiative.
  • Coordinate staff and self-attendance at technical assistance workshops to ensure the project staff has the most current information and knowledge of College procedures and regulations.
  • Development and delivery of academic course content in the program area.
  • Perform instructional duties in the discipline, as needed.
  • Consults with the Executive Director, Academic and Corporate College Program Managers, Industry, School district staff, student services staff, business office, and students as well as other area personnel on issues related to position.
  • Consult with the project funding agency regarding continued program approval, procedures, and regulations.
  • Works with appropriate credit and non-credit staff in relation to educational opportunities for students and instructors.
Required Skills

  • Knowledge of BANNER (or similar) enterprise computer systems.
  • Good organizational skills with special attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of the project discipline or subject matter.

Working Conditions/Additional Information

  • Normal office working conditions are expected which may include occasional evening and weekend work.
  • This position is an on-campus/on-site position (remote or hybrid options are not available).
  • This position requires reliable transportation to visit off-campus facilities and meet with vendors, community members, etc. regarding programs.
  • May require periodic attendance at program related or state/national workshops/conferences.

Salary and Benefits Information

  • This position is a level P15. Please see below for specific salary range.

Required Education

  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in a field relevant to the program is required. Master's degree is preferred.

Preferred Certification

  • Additional industry certifications in the relevant discipline are preferred.

Required Experience

  • Five years of experience in managing educational or training programs, project management, workforce development or business administration is required.
