Job DescriptionThe Materials & Labor Planner / Scheduler is responsible for production scheduling, procurement and inventory control of all packing materials, raw materials and various supplies for the factory. This role is also responsible for investigating and resolving all materials supply and materials quality issues involving raw and pack materials and supplies for the factory. The Materials & Labor Planner / Scheduler facilitates R&D trials, has functional responsibility for QRMP standard(s) as assigned and ensures product quality meets all regulations relative to food safety, regulatory compliance and Kraft Heinz standards.

Key Responsibilities of the Role:

o Adherence to Kraft Heinz policies, safety standards, and good manufacturing practices.

o Actively support all continuous improvement efforts throughout the plant.

o Actively participate on and/or lead a Safety Committee.

o Production Scheduling.

o Procurement of raw and pack materials and supplies to meet planned demand.

o Investigating and resolving all materials supply and materials quality issues affecting the factory, including carrier issues.

o Supporting the R&D team in development of new products and processes, supports production runs, costing of labor, and scrap standards for new products and ensure new products are successfully commercialized.

o Ensure RPW inventory reduction targets are met or exceeded per MBO targets.

o Plan inventory movements from outside storage to supplement direct shipments and to cycle through all materials at least quarterly.

o Work with BOMs & Recipes group to ensure accurate operational BOMs in SAP to ensure proper inventory consumption in SAP.

o Resolve receipt, invoice and other issues related to materials and supplies.

o Cycle counting and Oscar Waste procedures.

o SAP error resolution

o Training, meetings, audits and committees related to the overall success of the factory.

o Analyze manufacturing variances of ingredient, materials, and labor usage and works with management team to implement strategies to reduce them.

o All other duties as assigned to contribute to the success of the factory including back up for the Materials & Scheduling Manager.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience is required, preferably within a manufacturing, warehousing or logistics environment.

COMPETENCIES/ABILITIES:

  • Must demonstrate ability to effectively communicate with and influence co-workers.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to meet goals and deadlines with minimal oversight.

EDUCATION LEVEL: Check the education level(s) that are required.

  • Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
