TheField Assistantworks under the direct supervision of Probe Operators and/or Technical Specialists in the field. Field Assistants will perform environmental remediation activities centered aroundin situinjection technologies. Individuals in this position may assist on basic soil, groundwater and site characterization tasks.

Entry level Field Assistants will be provided paid, on-the-job training to obtain technical knowledge in the basic operation of mixing and injection equipment, application of the different injection methods, tooling, and mechanical systems. Employees will gain comprehensive knowledge in the environmental remediation field supporting clean-up objectives with our clients at many of the most contaminated sites in the US.

Work is outdoors in all weather conditions and generally physically demanding. This position requires extensive travel 80%-90% of the time, both regionally and nationally, and the ability to work with a small crew.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Mechanical ability to do minor repairs
  • Conducts pre-trip inspection
  • Sets up control zones
  • Performs physical labor, shoveling, drilling debris, and transporting materials using ergonomically correct lifting techniques
  • Maintains equipment
  • Participates in Cascade's health and safety program
  • Can direct subordinate employee(s)
  • Maintains all required certifications and training

JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Have a valid driver's license- CDL preferred
  • Willing to submit to a pre-employment background screening and drug test
  • Willing to travel between 80%-90% of the time, both regionally and nationally
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • One (1) year of steady working experience in construction or drilling preferred
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds throughout the day, maneuver in small areas, and stand for long periods of time
  • Complete other duties and projects as assigned
