The Receiving Inspection Technician is responsible for ensuring material received at Sypris meets all drawing and quality requirements prior to acceptance into the Warehouse.
Inspects material in accordance with Receiving Inspection guidelines, drawings, quality codes and purchase order notes
Engages with appropriate Engineering personnel as required to determine acceptability
Documents inspection results
Generates all documentation as required
Enters all required system entries/transactions into ERP system
Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements:
High school or equivalent education; Associates degree preferred
Minimum 1 year related experience inspecting material for electronic manufacturing services
Knowledge of basic electronics and component identification
Good working knowledge of electronic systems and databases
Ability to use tools such as digital multi-meters, calipers, height gauges and like equipment
Ability to understand and interpret drawings
May require occasional lifting of up to 35 pounds
Good oral and written communication skills
Inter, intra departmental and external contact required
