Summary:
Silk Road Medical is looking for motivated and driven students to join our summer internship program! Interns will have an opportunity to work on meaningful projects and get hands-on experience in a professional business setting. You'll build your resume while making new connections, sharpening the skills you need to succeed at work, and performing important project work that contributes to the success of the company. Interns will be part of a cohort that will meet regularly throughout the summer and experience development and networking sessions.
The candidate in this position will work closely the Silk Road Medical Human Resources organization to conceive, develop, and launch a new career ladder process across the different departments within Silk Road Medical. You will partner with the HR business partners, talent acquisition and HR operations to define career paths and expectations at each level.
Primary Activities:
* Work closely with members of the HR team to develop and launch career roadmaps and levels within each department.
* Partner with HR operations to understand benchmarking information and make recommendations based on external data.
* Partner with HRBP's to determine appropriate title structure within each department.
* Create job title framework.
* Partner with talent acquisition to revamp job description template.
* Partner with HR Generalist on helping to run the intern program.
* All other duties as assigned.
Desired Skills and Experience
* Enrollment in a post-secondary program pursuing Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources or Business
* Completion of 2 years coursework by May 2021
* Effective communication, organizational and problem-solving skills
* Strong work ethic
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Strong Microsoft Office skills
* Computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint required
