Nokia is also the only end-to-end mobile network vendor working with the major operators around the world.Job Responsibilities & Competencies:Students in this position for Summer 2021 (jun-aug) will work as part of a product development focused engineering team located in the northwest Chicago suburbs that is responsible for the development of next generation Wireless infrastructure hardware architectures for Small Cell and 5G mmWave products.Specific activities include support for platform and product integration testing, and evaluation, and integration of new technologies. The group also provides engineering support to Supply Chain for products in production and to Global Market Teams for field issues as necessary.* Identify design issues and propose solutions.* Test and verify electronic circuits from baseband through 39 GHz. Specific focus on mmWAVE 5G bands* Test and evaluate individual sub-assemblies as well as overall systems.* Adhere to Nokia engineering processes, including the maintenance of accurate documentation* Work in a global engineering team environment soliciting and sharing expertise with other Nokia engineers as necessary.* Support product integration and applications.Qualifications* Must be pursuing a B.S / M.S degree in Electrical Engineering or related field from an accredited college/university.* Overall GPA of 3.0/4.0 or above.Experience in any of the following areas is a plus:* Work/lab experience in RF hardware measurements, implementation and/or validation testing.* Work/lab experience with power amplifiers and antennas.* Experience in the use of simulation tools* Experience in the use of test equipment such as Signal Generators and Signal Analyzers* Familiarity with Python, LabView & Microsoft office applicationsImagine creating technology that has the potential to change the world.
