Baxter offers a robust summer internship program based in the Chicagoland area that provides meaningful work assignments and projects that immerse students in Baxter's culture designed to provide practical work experience highlighting what an individual would do in a similar full-time role with the ability to make a business impact. You'll be paired with a mentor, receive support from your manager, and have access to the entire Baxter employee community to ensure your success. The intern will work with a broad team of professionals including engineers, program managers, and professionals in IT and Finance to advance projects as part of Baxter's Digital Transformation Office. The intern will build out reporting analytics and dashboards for Digital Transformation Program Initiatives and participate in a Proof of Concept project sprint related to curating our data assets and enabling the use of data for data-driven decisions. The intern will also lead the creation of Digital Transformation metrics, key performance indicators and dashboards. These activities will provide opportunities to automate work done manually today, building in proactive algorithms. In this role, the intern will have the opportunity to advance many digital initiatives for a major medical device company, gain valuable industry experience, and receive guidance on future career aspirations and professional development. Responsibilities: + Build out reporting analytics and dashboards for digital programs + Assist and participate in project sprints related to data strategy + Receive training on program methodology including agile sprints and design thinking + Learn techniques to automate processes and build in proactive algorithms + Generate documentation in support of project deliverables + Assist and participate in project team meetings as needed, involving cross-functional team representation Requirements: Baxter is targeting students with proven academic performance and leadership potential. Ideal candidates will combine technical and business knowledge with analytical strength and creative problem-solving abilities. + Rising Senior pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, & Math (STEM) (Engineering Major preferred) + GPA of 3.0 or above + Strong verbal and written communication skills + Demonstrated leadership qualities and problem-solving skills + Positive attitude, team-oriented, adaptive to change, and collaborative + Actively involved in campus or community activities and organizations, preferably in leadership roles \#LI-SL1 \#IND-USC **Equal Employment Opportunity** Baxter is an equal opportunity employer.
