Job/Internship Description
IT Audit Intern Location: Arlington Heights, IL/Remote Duration: 1 year with possible contract to hire/ with possible extension Description: * This is a paid internship within client's Information Technology (IT) Internal Audit team. Our team is responsible for auditing IT controls of the data centers that support the Bank's technologies, applications, and networks. We provide independent, objective assurance to management as to whether their risk management and controls are adequate and in line with internal and Regulatory requirements. * This is an opportunity to work on a top performing, global internal audit team while gaining valuable exposure to Information Technology. Quick overview: This team manages technical audits, looking at infrastructure and the IT controls within those areas. They will review and write up concerns/audit issues. Issues are also tracked for closure. There is a lot of interaction/hands on/review and processing. Leverage data analytics and metrics to be able to identify gaps and documentation. Typical day might look like: Responsibilities will include: * Supporting the team throughout the audit process (planning, fieldwork, and reporting) * Analyzing internal controls and processes in order to contribute to audit workpapers * Participating in meetings and calls with stakeholders * Data administration in the audit database * Ad hoc projects including preparing presentations for Audit Management and Regulators TOP must-have skills: * Candidate must have completed an undergraduate degree. Can either be recent grads or in grad school. * Outstanding academic background, preferably with a degree in information technology, business or related field. * Demonstrable interest in working in the financial services industry. * Strong written and verbal communication skills, analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills. * Excellent time management and the ability to balance multiple projects. * Self-motivated and highly accountable. * Team player who is comfortable working with individuals at all levels. * Proficient at Microsoft Office applications and able to learn new software quickly. Experience: * Someone with SQL and program background would be helpful so they understand what they are reviewing. Computer science background will give the technical language background. Success Indicators: Performance based.
