Job Description Primary Purpose:Contribute to the development and pricing of all auto insurance products offered by National General, with focus on the Direct Auto business. Responsible for the loss ratio, growth and profit of assigned state(s), channel(s), and/or segments of business and continually develop actionable insights that drive business goals of growth and profitability. Specific activities may change from time to time.Responsible for the loss ratio, growth and profit of assigned state(s), channel(s), and/or segments of businessDevelop rate revision proposals and evaluate potential rate dislocation across numerous segments of the current book of business Analyze rate change histories, competitor pricing, elasticity, and histograms of rate dispersion across rating variables Suggest and implement changes to programs to maximize both growth and profitCreate actuarial rate support exhibits in cooperation with the Product Managers for DOI review and approval of rate filingsPursue actuarial credential by sitting for actuarial exams on a regular basis Minimum Skills and Competencies:The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
