JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Broadleaf, Inc is looking for a talented Test Engineer to develop and implement system validation test programs to ensure compliance with USPTO quality processes and procedures. Enables the integration and implementation of the Virtual Data as a Service (DaaS) solution to USPTO products across all product lines. Designs, develops, and executes tests for web-based applications, and supports USPTO internal Virtual DaaS customers to enable testing early, often and faster across all product lines as needed.
  • At Broadleaf, the Test Engineer participates in developers' meetings and works closely with business analysts and developers to certify systems meet functional requirements. Employs a variety of technologies, education, experience, and tools to find defects and then applies different communication strategies to ensure developers understand the issue. Completes a combination of testing including but not limited to database testing, functional testing, interface testing, integration testing, testing in the cloud, performance testing, load testing, mobile testing, cross-browser testing and Section508 testing, application failover recovery testing, disaster recovery testing, or other types of testing to validate all parts of the application meet customer requirements.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At least three (3) Test Engineering experience or related field
  • Three (3) years of experience with developing and executing test plans and automated testing systems for each product to demonstrate it meets all significant product specifications/requirements
  • Develops and documents test procedures in support of the test plan
  • Identifies, recommends, and manages outside test resources in support of validation and compliance testing
  • Plans for internal resource requirements in support of validation and compliance testing
  • Executes and monitors system software and hardware tests
  • Documents progress throughout process as well as final test results
  • Coordinates with development team during technical design to maximize automated test support
  • Prioritizes and manages multiple projects within design specifications and budget restrictions
  • Investigates and thoroughly understands developments in testing codes and standards
  • Experience working on teams in the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile Methodologies, such as Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and Scrum/Kanban/XP.
  • Experience with Agile principles such as Continuous Integration (CI), Test-Driven Development (TDD), Continuous Delivery (CD) and DevSecOps.
  • Experience with Linux / Unix / Windows
  • Experience with Git, AWS and/or Azure.
  • Experience with Structured Query Language (SQL), Programming Language-Structured Query Language (PL-SQL)
  • Experience with large-scale enterprise environments where real-time monitoring of critical infrastructure is fundamental to operations and compliance.
  • Hands-on experience using monitoring tools to identify, isolate, troubleshoot and resolve application, system and network problems.
  • Experience creating solutions for a different type of databases such as RDBMS, NoSQL, cloud DBs, and others as needed.
  • Experience in Actifio APIs (integration with other tools such as Jenkins...) or similar API programming.
  • Experience in cloud paradigms (IaaS, PaaS, FaaS, CaaS) / Serverless design
  • Experience in technical documentation writing such as System Design Document (SDD), Operating Support Procedures (SOP) etc.
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Office suite required, including MS Visio.
  • Candidates must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong aptitude to learn and adapt to technology.
  • Ability to adapt well to diverse environments.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with all levels in an organization.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in dynamic team environment.
  • Knowledge of security Tools (SonarQube)
  • Experience with cloud migration and integration.
  • Experience analyzing business needs and user stories to identify technical solutions
  • Experience with USPTO.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's Degree
    • Eight (5) years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education.

CLEARANCE LEVEL:

  • Must be able to pass a background check
