Taylor Engineering, Inc. seeks to hire a team-oriented and production-focused Water Resources Engineer for our Jacksonville, Florida office.
The engineer will support the organization as necessary to accomplish the mission through assisting in engineering tasks such as stormwater modeling and design, flood risk analysis, and project management.
Develop hydrologic, hydraulic, and coastal engineering analyses
Prepare letters, technical reports, figures, and tables
Prepare technical submittals
Interact and project coordination with multidisciplinary teams including subcontractors
Assist in work activities and communicate with various municipality, utility, and government regulating agencies
Work in ArcGIS databases
Preform occasional field work
Other miscellaneous tasks assigned by project managers
Requirements
A qualified candidate will possess the following.
Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Engineering degree
Successfully passed the Fundamentals of Engineering exam
0 – 6 years of engineering experience including intern/co-op engineering experience
Experience in GIS software preferred
Familiarity with hydrology and hydraulics modeling software such as HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, ICPR, HSPF, and SWMM
Experience in FEMA flood risk analysis and mapping preferred
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability and desire to obtain Professional Engineer license
Possess team leadership potential, technical capabilities, and strong aptitude
