Facilitates, guides and supports Company-wide, departmental, or cross-functional continuous improvement work as directed by the Advisory Council. This encompasses preparation and planning for the projects, conducting the necessary workshops, implementation, daily management, and coaching project participants throughout the project.
Act as a change agent for continuous improvement strategies and activities
Evaluate and recommend effective processes and equipment and/or safety measures; provide input on capital programs, automation, mechanization, etc.
Develop and administer training programs to teach Lean tools and continuous improvement initiatives to employees at all levels
Manage project activities and timelines to meet deadlines for project completion
Demonstrate the ability to challenge the status-quo and encourage new ideas and solutions to ensure Continuous Improvement principles are implemented
Research and identify relative benchmarks to be used in the establishment of daily management measure
Identify barriers to change and develop and propose solutions that address both business needs and customer satisfaction
Prepare reports or inputs for reports prescribed by management related to continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Operations, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum two years’ experience in an electronic manufacturing environment
Lean or Six Sigma certification
Proven experience working with and implementing Lean manufacturing principles: Value Stream Mapping, Visual Management, SMED, A3 problem solving, Kanban, Mistake-proofing, Standard Work, Kaizen, 5S, etc.
Proven track record of leading Kaizen events and developing improvements to achieve business results
Ability to handle various tasks simultaneously
Ability to use tact, judgment, and diplomacy
Ability to facilitate a team to defined outcomes in a timely manner
Microsoft experience required, specifically in Excel and Project
Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills
Ability to obtain a Government security clearance, if necessary
