Job Description
The Senior Program Manager will have full responsibility for all aspects of assigned customer programs.
  • Ensure all project requirements and/or objectives are correctly gathered, understood, and properly translated for execution
  • Develop Program schedule integration to ensure alignment to Program schedule / contract
  • Align the program team to customer needs by establishing milestones, goals, and objectives based on input from cross-functional team and stakeholders
  • Manage development of project plans with focus on achievement of project goals and corporate initiatives, including project specific Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s)
  • Achieve project's KPI’s and manage the work within requirements scope, quality, time and cost constraints
  • Closely monitor project progress and guide the program team in deploying appropriate countermeasures to reduce risk
  • Manage projects to the project performance baseline and clearly identify and address any changes to scope
  • Lead customer directed change delegations and proposals
  • Report Program Reviews, Forecasts, EAC’s
  • Responsible for P&L performance of program
  • Serve as the interface with customers, vendors, stakeholders and project sponsor(s)
  • Design clear and consistent messages for a variety of diverse audiences, ensuring relevance and effectiveness of delivery
  • Work closely with management to stay informed of important company information to evaluate and measure program effectiveness and impact on the business

Requirements:
  • BS degree in Engineering, Science, Business Administration or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 7 years of Program Management or related experience in Aerospace or Government defense contracts
  • Experience in all project management Knowledge Areas and Process Groups
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent required (or ability to obtain certification)
  • Experience using Earned Value Management
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams in a balanced matrix organization
  • Time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation communication skills
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite and MS Project
  • Possess or have the ability to obtain a U.S. Government granted security clearance
  • Some travel on an as needed basis
