Job Description
The Master Scheduler coordinates production schedules and inventory to ensure efficient and effective operations which allows timely delivery of product to meet customer delivery schedules and revenue objectives.
  • Works with manufacturing team and develops weekly and monthly production volume planning using the business forecast, material availability, actual customer orders, and the defined capacity parameters
  • Works with Operations, Program Management, Purchasing, Production Planning, Sales Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP) and senior leadership to develop production schedule forecasts
  • Maintains master schedule in Plex ERP; revises as needed and alerts appropriate staff of schedule changes or delays
  • Produces production scenarios for management to review that can be executed when revisions are needed
  • Reviews customer releases and shipping schedules to establish production priorities and produce/update manufacturing schedules daily
  • Supports and assists Production Planning and Purchasing, when needed, in ensuring material schedules and vendor commitments support the production plan per the master schedule
  • Regularly compares current and anticipated orders with available inventory of raw materials; uses judgment to anticipate demand for and tracks shortages
  • Participates in periodic forecasting meetings with Business Development and other related departments
  • Integrates sales orders with the master schedule; coordinates availability of raw materials, supplies, equipment, and staff as needed to meet delivery dates
  • Maintains operational alignment with production plan and Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s)
  • Maintains planning parameters in the MRP system to ensure proper order generation

Requirements:
  • BS degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of five years of related experience
  • Good understanding of electronics manufacturing, production planning/scheduling, work center setup, and supply chain
  • Experience planning and scheduling a production line, preferably in a high mix, low volume environment
  • Extremely proficient with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems; experience with Plex ERP systems preferred
  • Excellent communication, excellent organizational skills, and attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to be flexible to accommodate changes in a fluid, dynamic environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and coordinate across various departments to drive alignment to a master schedule
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite and SharePoint
  • Possess or can obtain a U.S. Government granted security clearance
