Job Description
This position is responsible for the day to day leadership of the manufacturing floor team to produce quality products at the least cost while meeting schedule requirements for their area.
  • Assigns daily work assignments for production team: prioritize production build, test, and inspection based on daily production schedules.
  • Provides on-the-job training and provides direction to manufacturing team to ensure we meet cost, schedule and quality standards while creating an environment to encourage continuous improvement.
  • Assures maximum utilization and efficiency of personnel and equipment to provide greatest productivity in assigned area.
  • Responsible for keeping cell boards up-to-date and generating visual displays of data management.
  • High level of proficiency in most work categories demonstrated with 25% of work time performing these direct labor tasks
  • Maintains and/or recommends improvements in processes, procedures, tooling, calibration, equipment and materials utilizing Lean concepts.
  • Maintains time and attendance through automated labor reporting system.
  • Observes and enforces strict adherence to security procedures regarding CCI and classified materials.
  • Observes/enforces safety rules as well as 5S.
  • Conducts audits for Standard work, preventative maintenance & quality
  • Adheres to the Team Leader Standard Work policies.
  • Provides performance input for performance reviews
REQUIREMENTS:        
 
  • Associates Degree or Vocational School certification preferred; High School education or equivalent accepted with work experience
  • Maintain up-to-date training on Component Identification, Right-to-Know, and the following certifications: IPC 610, Move Safe, ESD, J-STD-001, J-STD-001 ES, and NASA 8739.1.2.3.4, where applicable.
  • Thorough knowledge of production processes
  • Ability to obtain a Government granted security clearance
  • Computer skills required: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required
