This position is responsible for directing and coordinating the activities of the Warehouse to support the business delivery, quality, cost, and responsiveness objectives. This position is responsible for supervising receiving, shipping, packaging, kitting, and cycle count personnel, including team leaders, in the Warehouse.
Minimum five years of warehouse supervision experience in an electronics contract manufacturing environment or more than ten years of warehouse supervision experience in a high technology manufacturing environment
High level of experience in all warehouse business systems (ERP), scanning and labeling tools; inventory transaction and strong process orientation
Demonstrated working knowledge of Lean methodologies, prior improvement results
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Strong ITAR and US Customs regulation/requirements knowledge
Experience with VMI (Vendor Managed Inventory) and/or Kanban system a plus
Experience working in a secured environment, preferred
APICS certification, preferred
Possess or have the ability to obtain a U.S. Government granted security clearance
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Directs and coordinates the development and implementation of activities in the Warehouse area(s) to meet business delivery, quality, cost, and responsiveness objectives; proactively plans manpower, facility and equipment needs based on a multi shift production schedule
Provides the appropriate management behavior (change leadership, communication, teamwork, training, mutual respect, etc.) required in developing and maintaining a positive work environment in which all employees feel valued
Responsible for all critical ERP attributes associated with warehousing operations; ERP system experience at an intermediate level or higher to ensure transactional integrity of warehouse orders; maintains all warehouse parameters in ERP system
Drives the warehouse operations to meet and exceed key department metrics
Oversees all activities related to parts packing including pre-packing, crating, and kitting; ensures all parts are adequately packed and labeled; ensures all stored material is organized and clearly identified
Manages Customer Furnished Materials processing (receipt, inventory classification and storing)
Oversees Receiving/Shipping processing and coordinates the loading/movement of materials
Oversees all activities related to order fulfillment including picking and delivery of parts to point of use; establishes Kanban pull systems where appropriate
Directs cycle count activities; uses cycle count results to drive root cause and corrective action for variances in inventory to provide greater inventory accuracy and improved customer service; assists outside departments with resolving issues or potential issues that are related to the warehouse
Ensures all warehouse activities follow all AS/ISO 9001 standards and procedures
Drives continuous improvement regarding products, processes, and specifications inconjunction withManufacturing Engineering, Master Scheduler, and Buyer Planners to improve floor flow and processes
Ensures Shipping Department employees are properly certified in Hazardous Materials Regulations as related to shipping and handling as well as processing hazardous materials shipments for transportation, as required
Observes/enforces safety rules and maintains time and attendance through automated labor reporting system
Effectively manages and performs to department budget commitments
Administers all Human Resources programs and policies (including selection, promotion, transfers, salary administration and termination) without regard to race, religion, sex, national origin, age, or handicap
Performs other related duties as assigned
