Crisdel Group, Inc. has a position available for a Concrete Laborer. The Concrete Laborer is responsible for prepping pour sites, mixing concrete, and placing concrete and rebar. Other duties include making concrete repairs, caulking expansion joints, and applying finish coating. You must know how to use construction equipment and tools and how to handle materials carefully. Our ideal candidate has at least one year of skilled labor or concrete experience.
Tasks & Responsibilities
The following duties are descriptive and not exhaustive. The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them from the position if the work is similar, related or a logical assignment to the position. Major duties include the following:
Demo worksites and prepare them for new concrete pour or placement
Mix concrete
Pour or place concrete
Install rebar, expansion joints, or carbon fiber
Repair concrete structures
Apply finishing coat
Follow all safety protocols when using tools and equipment
Clean up the worksite when the project is complete

Be able to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
Report to work on time, take meal breaks only during the allocated time periods and report back to work until the end of the designated shift.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred
Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of experience working within the road construction industry
Ability to kneel, stoop, crouch, balance, climb, crawl, and pull
Ability to work in a team environment
Must be able to lift and carry at least 50-90 pounds
Must be able to stand, stoop, bend, and crouch for extended periods of time
Knowledge road construction materials, road construction processes and industry requirements.
Excellent hand, eye and foot coordination
Must comply with the company’s drug and alcohol testing requirements
Valid driver’s license issued within the United States clear of multiple and/or major violations
Successfully pass a pre-employment (post-offer) drug screen and motor vehicle records check; a criminal background check will also be conducted

Working Conditions
Overtime and weekend work may be required
Work is performed in an outdoor setting, which could include inclement weather, heat and
humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt
Must be physically able to repetitively lift and carry at least 50 LBS on a regular basis
Use of Personal Protection Equipment is required
Use of sunscreen, long sleeves, and appropriate headgear is recommended
