Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Guide product design and verify structural integrity by using analytical methods, finite element models/simulations and other analysis tools throughout the product lifecycle to develop the structural environment, characteristics, and performance
- Develop test plans and configurations, support test execution and analyze/report test results to validate and verify that systems and components meet requirements and specifications
- Perform basic structural analysis using well defined analysis tools to develop the structural environment, characteristics, and performance
- Design, analyze, and modify aerospace manufacturing equipment and tooling to meet client requirements
- BS in related Engineering field (structural, aerospace, mechanical) and 2+ years’ experience
- Familiarity with industry standards for the analysis and design of systems of steel and other metal construction for an aerospace primary structure
- Experience with detailed analysis and sizing of airframe primary structure and finite element models and classical hand analysis techniques
- Must be self-starter and require minimal supervision.
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with engineering prototype development and testing of structural parts
- Aerospace industry experience
- Competency in Microsoft Office suite applications
- Familiarity with CAD and/or Creo software
