Do you want to use your Frontend and Mobile Development skills to make a difference in the world of Cardiology?Bardy Diagnostics is an exciting, fast growing organization within Baxter with unique and compelling products looking for the right Senior Frontend Software Developer to help us achieve our mission. Join a multi-skilled, dedicated, and talented team developing state-of-the-art wearable cardiac arrhythmia monitors and associated cloud-based software. The right person is motivated to combine the art of UX design with the art of Programming across form factors (Web, Android and iOS). Responsibilities will include partnering with UX design on the wireframes to shape the future of Cardiac Monitoring space. You will work with UX designers and bridge the gap between graphical design and technical implementation, taking an active role on both sides and defining how the application looks and works. Your expertise in software development best practices and keen sense for clean UI design will help us be more productive and efficient in web and mobile UI development cycles.

What you'll be doing

  • Design and develop world-class front-end/full-stack applications to support various use cases across different personas such as Patients, Clinicians, Hospitals etc.
  • Implement compelling & responsive applications for our cloud-based, Web and Mobile (Android and iOS).
  • Implement and improve development processes, CI/CD, wikis, code quality metrics etc.
  • Be an advocate of design patterns meeting today's security and regulatory standards.
  • Deliver high quality and timely results to meet business needs.
  • Collaborate with designers and stakeholders on requirements and design.
  • Work together with development team members to bring to market quality, testable applications.

What you'll bring

  • BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent with 5+ years as a front-end web developer in a product development environment.
  • Expertise in JavaScript (React.js, Node.js), HTML, CSS, GraphQL, TypeScript and other web development technologies.
  • Experience in working on cloud-based (Azure or AWS) products and services including defining, planning, and executing predictable schedules with high quality.
  • Demonstrable experience with translating visual and interactive designs from tools such as Sketch and Zeplin, Axure or other design frameworks into a customer focused frontend implementation.
  • Expertise in collaborating with designers and product stakeholders in iterative development.
  • Experience with Multiplatform development, specifically Kotlin Mobile Multiplatform (KMM) for Android and iOS.
  • Familiar with the Android ecosystem, including SDKs features/APIs and best practices across devices and operating system versions.
  • Familiar with architectural patterns like MVP.
  • Experience with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE).
  • Familiarity configuration management & issue tracking.
  • Outstanding communication abilities.
  • Medical device or other regulated application space experience is preferred.
  • Familiarity with iOS app development and best practices is desired.

At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $104,000 to $143,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors.
