CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking a Drainage Engineer to join our Infrastructure - Water/Wastewater Team at our office in Miami, FL.

Clean and safe water and wastewater management is vital for every community's well-being. CHA delivers environmentally friendly and cost-effective water, wastewater and stormwater projects. We offer full engineering and support services for industrial and municipal systems from initial planning through permitting, design, bidding, construction administration, start-up, certification, and ongoing operational assistance.

Working alongside CHA's professional engineers, the Drainage Engineer supports the design development, implementation and technical analysis of technical various systems to implement new products, or changes to an existing scheme, to suit individual client needs. The professional in this role aids in preparing technical reports, contract documents and cost estimates for various engineering tasks. At CHA, our Drainage Engineer works on multiple projects in a timely and cost-effective manner to meet client, contractual and company requirements.

The Drainage Engineer identifies technical discrepancies in analytical results and makes appropriate corrections. The individual in this role develops and maintains a familiarity with the federal, state, and local regulations, as well as the firm's and client's practices, procedures, and standards.

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field required
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required
• Minimum 2 years' related Engineering experience required
• Drainage Design experience required
• Familiarity with permitting standards required
• GIS experience preferred
• Hydraulid Modeling experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of engineering, computational, and modeling software (Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.)
• Strong theoretical knowledge in the respective engineering field
• Demonstrates a strong willingness to learn about the respective engineering discipline
• Familiar with QA/QC procedures
• Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt communication style to suit various audiences
• Desire to work in a collaborative team environment with the willingness to assist more senior staff
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office software required
