POSITION SUMMARY:

Clinical Systems Analyst I:

  • Is responsible for supporting the integrated commercial enterprise solution for DSS.
  • Provides guidance with the development of DSS enterprise solution, acts as a subject matter and content expert supporting the development efforts.
  • Functions as a clinical user advocate and consultant to maximize functional use of existing or new products, drawing on clinical knowledge and workflow experience.
  • Identifies workflow and process gaps in order to make enhancement recommendations and implement change processes.
  • Is self-directing, with the ability to identify priorities and mobilize projects in an orderly fashion to achieve desired results and effectively use collaboration in driving decisions.
  • Has the ability to understand technical issues at a high level and be self-motivated as well as creative and efficient in proposing solutions to complex, time-critical problems.
  • Works with Scrum team and Solutions Manager to create a great collaborative environment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Essential Duties:

  • Communicates with all Internal and External Customers or/and appropriate Stakeholders regarding project deliverables including managing expectations, presenting and interfacing sponsors.
  • Helps to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Contributes to the design, development, testing and implementation of products through working with Solutions Manager and the product team.
  • Encourages transparency by using tools like JIRA and making information available and transparent to stakeholders.
  • Continuously improves processes to improve execution.
  • Manages day-to-day activities of projects; communicate with the necessary groups to ensure project deliverables are on schedule and within parameters set forth from Management.
  • Travels when needed, including weekend travel when deemed necessary (abiding by DSS established travel guidelines).
  • Empowers the team to self-organize.
  • Travel 25 - 50% of the year in support of assigned products/projects and/or as required by Management.

Other Duties:

  • Works with other System Analyst and Training staff assigned to JunoEHR on product manuals.
  • Works with Release Managers on compiled release requirements.
  • Has responsibility for Meaningful Use (ONC) Gap Analysis and works with existing assigned Subject Matter Experts to review requirements for data input requirements.
  • Assists with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and broadcasting information as appropriate.
  • Assists with prioritization and resolution of defects/bugs.
  • Understands the products and clients to the extent that he/she can perform as an effective backup to the Solution Manager/Product Owner when necessary.
  • Participates proactively in developing and maintaining team standards, tools, and best practices.
  • Identifies and remove impediments, prevent distractions.

SECURITY AND PRIVACY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Individuals working for DSS will be subject to security and privacy requirements as explained in HIPAA, FedRAMP, and NIST 800-53. Additionally, they are required to undergo specific FedRAMP training to ensure compliance with all associated controls and responsibilities in the day-to-day performance of their duties. Individuals working in departments that are considered to be in the high-risk category will be required to undergo advanced training based on their role and level of access. Individuals with access to modify data and the configuration baseline will require further training.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

Skills:

Required:

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in the healthcare industry.
  • Is abreast of contemporary developments in EHR Software
  • Is capable of understanding potential clients workflows to make suggestions as to which JunoEHR Applications would be beneficial to them.
  • Possesses the ability to guide staff in the fundamentals of iterative development; agile software development processes and procedures.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of agile software development methodologies, values, and procedures.
  • Proven ability to work independently with limited supervision and with other non-technical departments.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills; both verbal and written.
  • Demonstrates the ability to facilitate and run great, effective meetings.

Desired:

  • Strong Project Management background
  • Is knowledgeable of and able to use all MS Office Suite products including Outlook, Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, etc.

Education:

Required:

  • BS Degree in appropriate clinical or administrative fields related to healthcare.
  • Applicable clinical or administrative experiences in the acute care healthcare setting or applicable EHR vendor experience.

Desired:

  • Advanced degree or training in any related field of study.
  • Clinical degree or other clinical certification
    • RN, LPN, Lab Tech, etc.
