We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced UAS Pilot and Technical Expert to join our dynamic team in Panama City Beach, Florida.
Position Overview: The UAS Pilot and Technical Expert will play a critical role in our operations, responsible for piloting Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) during various test events. This position demands a unique blend of flight proficiency, technical acumen, and strategic insight into operations, planning, and research. The successful candidate will contribute to the development and execution of test plans, ensuring the reliable and effective performance of UAS in simulated operational environments.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate UAS with precision and safety during test events, adhering to all regulatory and company guidelines.
  • Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to prepare UAS for operation, including pre-flight checks, maintenance, and system configurations.
  • Contribute to operational planning and execution, offering expert insights into UAS capabilities and mission alignment.
  • Engage in operations research, assisting in the analysis and optimization of UAS deployment strategies.
  • Document flight operations and outcomes, providing detailed reports for further analysis and development.
  • Participate in Red Team activities, employing critical thinking to identify potential challenges and solutions in UAS operations.
  • Stay abreast of technological advancements in UAS and aviation, incorporating best practices and innovations into operational planning.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a UAS pilot with a strong record of safe and effective flight operations. Senior pilots with extensive flight experience are highly desired.
  • Possession of a Remote Pilot Certificate from the FAA under UAS Rule (14 CFR Part 107).
  • Demonstrated expertise in operations, planning, or operations research, with the ability to contribute to strategic planning and execution.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, capable of working effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to excellence.
  • Willingness to engage in continuous learning and skill development to meet the evolving needs of the field.
