LOGISTICS AND MATERIAL MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST
Location: Panama City Beach, Florida
About the Role: We are seeking a Logistics and Material Management Specialist to join our dynamic team. This position is integral to our operations, providing logistics support, material management, and inventory control for a variety of projects within the defense sector. The ideal candidate will ensure the readiness and adequacy of systems and equipment for testing events, demonstrations, and deployments, playing a key role in our mission's success.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement logistics plans that optimize the supply chain and ensure the timely delivery of equipment and materials.
  • Manage inventory control processes to maintain accurate records of materials, parts, and equipment.
  • Coordinate logistics activities to ensure the adequacy of systems and equipment for test events, demonstrations, and operational deployments.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure high-quality and timely procurement of materials.
  • Conduct regular audits of inventory and equipment to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Collaborate with project teams to understand equipment and material requirements, providing expert advice on logistics and material management best practices.
  • Utilize advanced inventory management systems to track materials throughout the supply chain, from procurement to deployment.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards related to logistics, material management, and inventory control.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics support, material management, and inventory control, preferably within the defense sector.
  • Proficiency in material, parts, and component management processes.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers.
  • Proficiency in inventory management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • U.S. citizenship required; ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense security clearance.
