This position can be remote in the USA ,BUT MUST WORK EAST COAST HOURS.

Summary of the role:

We seeking a dynamic Product Manager to join the Amadeus Sales & Events team. In this role, you will:

  • Liaise with internal/external customers to understand their workflows and functional needs to support the creation and delivery of the Sales & Events roadmap.

  • Reinforce customer value and whole-product thinking while supporting all activities required for successful product life cycle management.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, build, and roll out products that deliver the company's vision and strategy.

  • Act as a product evangelist, building awareness and understanding both internally and externally.

In this role you'll:

  • Product evolution:

    • Analyze and understand market trends, gaps, customer needs, and competitive offerings to guide product development.

    • Define and manage product roadmap; socialize and align timelines with relevant stakeholders. Work closely with Marketing, Operations and R&D teams to define priorities and the release plan for new products.

    • Create business requirement documents that outline market needs, use case scenarios, process flows, impact analysis and business cases as appropriate.

    • Define, track, and analyze key performance indicators to evaluate and improve product performance and validate success post-implementation.

    • Ability to problem solve.

  • Marketing support:

    • Support the establishment and evolution of the Amadeus' value proposition.

    • Define product positioning with the relevant Marketing teams; support go-to-market activities as part of product life cycle management.

    • Contribute to the creation and evolution of pricing policies for the products.

  • Sales Support:

    • Create presentations, documentation and demos that demonstrate the value of Amadeus products while also showcasing product functionality (existing, new, or proposed). Deliver presentations to customers or prospects face-to-face, via videoconference or over phone as needed.

  • Customers relationship:

    • Build key customer relationships with independent hotels and hotel chains, partners and system suppliers.

    • Product Management customers are also the internal teams - R&D, Sales, Partners, Operations, Distribution etc.

About the ideal candidate:

  • 1-3 yrs exp in product management or related to Amadeus group sales process.

  • A good understanding of the hospitality industry with group sales experience a plus.

  • Self-starter, critical thinker that is comfortable in the problem space. The ideal candidate will remain inquisitive, seek to understand, identify, and frame problems with both user and market context.

  • Proven ability to synthesize customer and partner needs into use cases/requirements.

  • A passion for driving standards and best practices to ensure a cohesive API experience to both internal and external developers, some of whom might not be familiar with our domain or business logic.

  • Understand trends within the API industry to influence our internal API strategy.

  • Ability to generate and showcase end to end workflows using Swagger.io, postman or like technologies preferred

  • 1-3 Years Experience with product integrations and API's including working with partners to understand needs and mapping to integration/API capabilities preferred.

  • Ability to Travel both domestically and internationally at short notice and for 5 or more days if needed for both customer visits (worldwide) and visits to the Amadeus R&D centers in Portsmouth, NH, Breda, The Netherlands, London, UK, Nice, Madrid, Spain and Bangalore, India.Travel 10-15% for up to 5 days at time may be longer .

  • Business Understanding:

    • Experience of the hotel distribution landscape and concepts including central reservation systems (CRS), Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems and property management systems (PMS) a plus

  • Skills:

    • Computing: MS Office, Reporting

    • Languages: English
