Description

DSS, Inc. is a health information software development and systems integration company. We are looking for a Corporate Recruiter with full-cycle recruiting experience from talent sourcing and attracting candidates to interviewing and hiring great employees. A successful recruiter will collaborate with department managers on a regular basis and proactively identify future hiring needs. You should also be able to attract candidates using various sources, like social media networks and employee referrals. Our ideal recruiter holds an academic HR background combined with work experience in screening, interviewing and assessing candidates.

This position offers a hybrid schedule. Must be local to the area.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Essential Duties:

  • Manages full-cycle recruitment process, posting, resume review, follow-up with hiring manager regarding submittals, schedule interviews, creates Offer Letters for review, background process and disposition all candidates and close PD/JD as positions are filled.
  • Interview candidates at various stages of the hiring process (phone screening calls, video interviews and in-person meetings).
  • Oversee internal and external communication, making sure that our company maintains a positive reputation as an employer (for example on Glassdoor, LinkedIn and social media).
  • Create job postings that are articulate, professional, and attention-grabbing to attract the right candidates, posting these ads on various job boards.
  • Attends college career fairs (in person or virtual), interacts with students and promote DSS' brand
  • Experience working with diversity organizations (ie. VETS or disability programs), job boards, and sourcing strategies.
  • Develops and implements programs, plans, policies, and procedures for recruitment, testing, selection, and job placement.
  • Works with hiring managers and Human Resources management to develop and maintain accurate DOL/OFCCP compliant position descriptions.
  • Maintains data on recruitment activities, applicant flow, interviews, and hires.
  • Maintains and builds relationships with internal Management Team.
  • Develops and maintains contacts with educational institutions, employment agencies, placement firms, and other sources of applicants.
  • Determines online recruiting strategies for attracting and recruiting candidates.
  • Ensures and maintains OFCCP Affirmative Action compliance throughout the recruiting process including accurate and concise hard and soft copy recordkeeping requirements including EEO data.
  • Conduct New Hire orientation.
  • Travel required to attend college career fairs (in and out of state) and networking events.

Other Duties:

  • Backs up Human Resources Generalist, Manager, Human Resources and Director Human Resources as needed
  • Works on special projects assigned by Director and/or Manager, Human Resources or other members of Management.
  • Performs general office activities such as filing, data entry, phones, etc. as time allows
  • Works with Manager to plan events, including travel, attendees, giveaways, brochures, tablescapes, etc.

SECURITY AND PRIVACY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Individuals working for DSS will be subject to security and privacy requirements as explained in HIPAA, FedRAMP, and NIST 800-53. Additionally, they are required to undergo specific FedRAMP training to ensure compliance with all associated controls and responsibilities in the day-to-day performance of their duties. Individuals working in departments that are considered to be in the high-risk category will be required to undergo advanced training based on their role and level of access. Individuals with access to modify data and the configuration baseline will require further training.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Skills:

  • Required:
  • Proficient experience with resume databases and Applicant Tracking Systems, preferably Paycom
  • Strong interviewing skills and familiarity with various interview techniques (like video or panel interviews)
  • Must have excellent experience with social media recruiting.
  • Demonstrates awareness of appropriate and competitive compensation and benefits at the corporate level.
  • Provide analytical and well documented recruiting reports to the team (Manager, Corporate Recruiting, Sr. Human Resources Manager and Director of Administration)
  • Excellent organizational, prioritization and time management skills are a must
  • Exhibits exceptional communication skills both written and oral
  • Has verifiable experience with MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Outlook, Internet Explorer)
  • Utilizes persuasion and patience to deal with hiring managers and candidates
  • Has intimate knowledge with DSS' policies and procedures and uses them in the everyday administration of duties
  • Displays professionalism in all aspects of the position
  • Brings organizational skills to bear in both the personal workspace but the department workspace and the electronic workspace
  • Will travel 10 - 20% of the year in support of DSS' recruiting efforts.

  • Combination of education and experience can be substituted for formal degree
