UNDERWRITING ASSISTANT
ARC Group seeks an Underwriting Assistant who will report to the Director of Underwriting and will be responsible for managing all the renewal businesses. This is a full-time position with our direct client in Ft. Lauderdale, FL.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage all renewal business for the Auto Commercial department, including reviewing policy documents for accuracy and completeness, rating accounts, and setting up the fleet analysis tool for fleet renewals.
  • Assist in preparing quotes and proposals for new business, completing pre-reviews of underwriting submissions, and evaluating referrals based on basic underwriting guidelines.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and provide exceptional customer service, following up on requests for information and entering or amending quotes as requested by underwriters.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Underwriting to ensure all department goals are met and work closely with other departments to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and reports, including monthly review and upload of information required for monthly MVR monitoring and monthly MVR review of monitored MVRs with activity accompanied by pertinent exclusions or communication to insureds when necessary.
  • Service policies, including reviewing and accurately processing a variety of changes/endorsement requests (drivers, vehicles, additional interests, contact information, etc.); producing certificates of coverage; issuing a variety of policy-related documents per insured's request; issuing/mailing/filing Notices of Cancellation
  • Conduct loss control, including visit requests, report follow-up, proper documentation/filing, and assisting underwriters with a variety of underwriting-related tasks.
  • Perform a variety of administrative tasks upon request, including translating when necessary for company-related functions, and assist management as needed with miscellaneous tasks (e.g., calendar management, meeting coordination, travel arrangements, document preparation, etc.).
