Central Pet Distribution is hiring a Warehouse Supervisor - Night Shift

Do you love pets and love working as a leader in a fast-paced environment? Our growing company is seeking a Night Warehouse Supervisor to support out Pet Distribution business at our Tampa, FL location. The Pet Distribution team works together to supply our customers with the nation's top brands of pet supplies like Nylabone, Kaytee and Aqueon. In this role, you will be supervising warehouse activities including order selecting and shipping. If you have experience leading others, are committed to safety, and can create and support a culture of continuous improvement, this may be the job for you!

MEASURES OF SUCCESS

  • Completion of all shift duties and responsibilities
  • Training and development of all shift personnel, including training of new associates
  • Oversee all picking and shipping activities, ensuring that orders are picked, packed, and loaded in a safe, accurate, timely and damage-free manner
  • Adjusting work procedures to meet warehouse demands as dictated by manager
  • Confer with manager to coordinateactivities of individual departments
  • Enforce company policies and safety regulations / conduct monthly safety meetings
  • Utilize company operating systems, Prelude, Vocollect, Dayforce and Insight Via
  • Coaching and motivating of associates
  • Delegate responsibilities of employees on PTO
  • Fill in for warehouse manager when needed

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR IN A CANDIDATE:

  • High School graduate, with an Associates degree, preferred
  • 2-5 years of distribution warehouse experience with working knowledge of all warehouse activities
  • Minimum 2 years of supervisor experience in a distribution warehouse environment
  • Certifications in powered industrial equipment. Forklifts, reach trucks, order picker, and rider pallet jack units
  • Working knowledge of RF replenishment procedures

  • Ability to work in and lead a team environment

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel programs

  • Experience in WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) such as VoCollect, Prelude and Dayforce a huge plus
