Job Description

Medical Optics powered by Probo Medical located in Tamarac, FL is seeking a Flexible Repair Technician to support our Operations department.

SUMMARY

The Flexible Repair Technician is responsible for executing the daily activities of the Flexible Endoscope service environment, including the service on new orders as well as the re-service of items that have failed in the field.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform the repair of medical equipment in accordance with company and OEM procedures and work instructions.
  • Adherence to established manufacturing and material control policies and procedures in compliance with ISO quality standards.
  • Assist in the modification of detailed work instructions for the manufacturing, assembly and test of Flexible Endoscope practices.
  • Assist in the diagnosis and service of repaired Flexible Endoscope that have failed in the field.
  • Comply with ISO quality standards including capturing assigned data for analysis and reporting to the customer and suppliers.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures, immediately reporting potential hazardous situations.
  • Assist other areas of the service operations on and as needed basis.
  • Represent the Company professionally, honestly and ethically in all respects.

EDUCATION/LICENSE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • High School diploma. Associate degree or its equivalent in electronics or equivalent medical device training is preferred.
  • Minimum three to six months of previous assembly or repair experience.
  • Demonstrated technical aptitude.  Ability to quickly pick up new processes with minimal guidance.
  • Attention to detail, thoroughness, organization, hand–eye coordination.
  • Strong attention to detail and thoroughness and solid organizational skills.
