Job Objective
The Communications Manager will support the Office of the Chief Data Officer (OCDO) with its core mission including the advancement of the US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) Data Strategy.
Responsibilities
  • Support and develop processes for the review of implementation strategies. Develop and implement strategies to communicate implementation goals and objectives to stakeholders across USCIS.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Liaise with data owners, OCDO leadership, technical partners, and other OCDO branches.
  • Translate complex technical processes and concepts into business-oriented content for discussion and decision.
  • Facilitate and support Data Governance meetings, councils, and forums across multiple data domains and functional areas. Develop tailored communications products to support audiences at varying levels and expertise.
  • Collaborate with inter-directorate teams to develop and execute strategies to promote the use of data visualizations.
  • Create well-defined user stories that clearly express the goals, motivations, and needs of the stakeholders and users.
  • Validating the implemented solutions against the original requirements and user stories, ensuring the product meets stakeholder expectations.
  • Collaborate within OPQ and OIT Data and Business Intelligence Services Branch (DBIS) to develop publicly available data visualizations that allow for dynamic interaction from the public.
Education & Certification
