DescriptionJob Duties:
The Supervisor will supervise employees at a Surface Transfer Center (STC) for the US Postal Service under contract with LGSTX Distribution Services, Inc. (LDS). Responsibilities will include the following:
- Ensures accurate, timely sorting of mail by employees
- Performs supervisory functions including staffing, personnel interviewing, selection, training, rewards/discipline, performance reviews, attendance, timekeeping and safety compliance
- Maintains effective communication regarding operational requirements to employees
- Responsible for operational policy communication and problem resolution
- Assists Manager and Shift Managers of STC as necessary

Qualifications
Education
Bachelors (preferred)
High School (required)
Experience
2 years: Freight, logistics, distribution or warehouse operations supervisory experience (required)
Ability to pass a federal background check and drug test to accessUSPS facility (required)
Must be able to work flexible hours as needed to support a 24/7 operation (required)
Working knowledge of regulations governing government contractors and applicable state and federal laws (required)
Proficient withPC using Microsoft Office software (required)
The ability to work in partnership with corporate LGSTX teams including Executive Management, Human Resources, Safety and Training. (required)
