Essential Functions:

1. Prepares metal and composite products for processing and performs chemical processing.
2. Performs visual and final inspection of parts.
3. Performs standard process operations for a variety of products including the following:
Passivates, deburrs alodines, cleans, pickles, blasts, refines, and tumbles parts; uses tools and small equipment to assemble parts per specifications or work instructions.
4. Monitors chemical concentration in cleaning baths according to procedure as needed.
5. Displays proper handling of all equipment and waste, including hazardous waste.
6.Active participation in 6s, lean initiatives, continuous improvement, and other required programs
7.Observe all safety rules and regulations and maintain work area in a neat and orderly condition.
8.Perform other related responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

1. Two or more years prior directly related manufacturing process experience, or demonstrated ability to perform described responsibilities.

2. Proficient in reading, understanding and following follow blueprints, specifications, and verbal instructions. Able to perform basic mathematical calculations.

3. Effectively applies lean initiatives. Maintains and can interpret operational and quality metrics and actively contributes improvement suggestions.

4. Demonstrates effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, as well as the ability to work in a team environment. Able to participate and provide input to engineering or other leaders on operational status or performance.

5. Interprets reports and uses job specific software applications (e.g. production control/tracking systems). Able to use employee self-service systems to access on-line information and use specialized automated systems (i.e., PA+, TORS, e-mail).

6. Effectively demonstrates team member competencies and participates in goal setting, performance feedback, and self-development activities.

TYPICAL MENTAL AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the team member is required to walk, stand, and sit for extended periods of time. The team member is required to demonstrate manual dexterity and use hands to operate machinery. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision. Also expected of the team member is regular attendance, and the ability to work cooperatively and professionally with others. May be required to lift up to 50 lbs.
