As part of a passionate and growing team of experts, you will be responsible and accountable as a Manufacturing Engineering and Technology team lead of the GS1 element of the New Glenn program. This includes definition and executing the element manufacturing growth plan, the production rate plan. You will execute and adjust your operating plan based on monitoring the program requirements, according to strict deadlines and budgets. You will ensure manufacturing cost and schedule conformance on assigned product by coordinating the procurement, build, and test of the manufacturing inputs needed to complete the build of complex products. Responsibilities:

  • Operations Manufacturing Engineering and Technology team lead of the 1st Stage of the NG program supporting all aspects of strategic planning for all product efforts to deliver fully integrated and tested elements, vehicles, and/or products.
  • Define, propose, and execute production rate and growth plan to include definition of all the infrastructure, facilities, tooling and equipment, manufacturing process and rate enabler projects integrated with the program schedule and delivery dates.
  • Leader of the manufacturing growth team of the New Glenn 1st Stage product, responsible and accountable to execute and deliver all manufacturing engineering growth and rate artifacts.
  • Ensures optimization of common processes and material across the teams. Ensure the standardization of parts, processes, and specification on the program.
  • Ensure all Program Requirements are being met from a fabrication/assembly, procurement, and facilities standpoint.
  • Responsible for developing the operations plan for operations, tooling, facilities, equipment (capital) and procurement. Responsible for keeping this plan current.
  • Enable relationships with supporting functional organizations (e.g., Finance, Legal, Supply Chain, Enterprise Program Management Office) to assure continuous interfaces, smooth operations, and reconciliation of process standards, action items, and emergent issues both across the business unit and with the rest of the company.
  • Perform and lead others in the development of specific project plans, managing risks, tracking, reporting on status, and resolving blocking issues.
  • Apply program management principles to develop executable plans, implementing creative solutions to complex problems.
  • Perform lead-time and critical path analysis on multi-level hardware builds.
  • Manage specific production budgets with the responsibility to analyze, manage and report on budget performance and variance analysis.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a manager role with significant technical project management responsibility and proven technical depth
  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline or equivalent
  • Experience supporting a project thru the product development lifecycle.
  • Deep experience in and understanding of complex manufacturing and production systems
  • Demonstrated exceptional business acumen, while comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Project management experience throughout the manufacturing environment.
  • Understanding of product lifecycle, specifically from development to production.
  • Highly effective and professional verbal and written communication skills with internal and external teams
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum

Desired:

  • Experience managing dynamic (e.g., growing, evolving) organizations, including planning, budget, schedule, quality, deliverables, reporting, staff, facilities, and interfaces
  • Experience using schedule management tools such as P6 Primavera
  • Technical or project management expertise that has contributed to the success of Tier 1 milestones
  • PMP certification
