Job Title

Agility Manager

In this role:

The Agility Manager will oversee three main components:

* Operational Consistency: Define, manage, and advance a vision/Agile maturity to achieve operational consistency across agile teams that is in line with the department strategy, operational challenges, and the need for value delivery.


* Resource Development: Coach, mentor, guide and evolve individuals serving as team scrum masters with a core focus on process, continuous improvement insights and delivery optimization. This includes but is not limited to training, community, and fostering an environment that continually challenges the status quo.


* Agile Program Maturity: Using selected frameworks as a guide, continually assess the maturation of the agile program and, through insights, offer guidance as to how to pragmatically evolve practices with concrete next steps and an action plan.

Main responsibilities include:

Evolution
* Leverage methodology to identify improvement areas to curate continuous evolution roadmap.
* Acts as a reference across multiple areas, anticipating solutions to complex problems.
* Optimize efficiency based on knowledge and experience with the policies, procedures and business plan.
* Support the Agile transformation from a management standpoint, remove impediments, own and manage risk/dependencies.
* Identify, implement and tune quality measures.
* Raise alerts and propose solution, out of the box thinking.
* Participate to management community events.

Delivery
* Lead and coach scrum masters to implement, follow and improve on team level agile practices. Implement consistent team level metrics to provide insight into team's delivery performance and challenges.
* Ensure processes and guidelines are socialized, documented and consistently implemented across the organization.
* Drive relentless improvements, assessing the quality and efficiency of the delivery.
* Establish strong partnerships with Product, Engineering Leaders and other stakeholders to drive organizational objectives.
* Collaborate with individuals/coaches from other Agile programs at Amadeus.

Management and Engagement
* Mentor, build and retain a high performing organization.
* Define team objectives and translate them into individual objectives for each team member in line with organizational goals.
* Evaluate team and individual performance.
* Develop team(s) based on continuous assessment.
* Motivate and guide individual team members to stretch and expand their own capabilities (know-how, behavior, communication etc....).
* Build/manage a team fostering a collaborative work environment which promotes innovation and empowerment.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Bachelor of Science Required, MBA a plus

  • Minimum of 5 years working with PMP, Agile, Scrum and/or SAFe disciplines

  • People Manager experience preferred

  • 5 years in a leadership position
