Required Skills / Qualifications:
- Associate Degree
- Minimum of 8 years experience with Telecommunications, testing/troubleshooting, and validation of service activations
- Minimum of 8 years experience with leading network vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, Ciena, and RAD.
- Minimum of 8 years experience with database modeling software such as MetaSolv.
- Minimum of 2 years experience with WAN Telecommunications networks
- Minimum of 2 years experience with Ethernet and IP
- Minimum of 2 years experience with coordinating maintenance request activitie
- Minimum of 2 years experience in data protocols that include TCP/IP, BGP, MPLS
- Minimum of 2 years experience in technical writing background to Execute and document formal acceptance testing of FTI products and services per program requirements
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Telecommunication Engineering or Computer Science or Computer Information
- Experience with Sonet architecture
- Cisco Design experience
- Problem-solving
- Strong communication skills (able to communicate effectively with customer reps)
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment to meet critical deadlines
- Highly motivated and capable of developing and following detailed instructions and action plans
- Strong skill set with Microsoft Office applications
- Project management skills capable of adhering to deadlines and completion of tasks per project schedule
- Knowledge and understanding of engineering drawings and technical procedures
- Knowledge of FTI Telecommunications equipment installation, configuration, and testing standards including TDM, PDH, SDH, SONET, and IP network architecture
- Possess an intermediate (CCNA certification)
- Domain knowledge of data protocols including TCP/IP, DMVPN, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, EIGRP, HSRP, IS-IS, LDP, PIM, MSDP, and Ethernet.
- Strong customer interface skills supporting coordination of both Telco providers and Clients' field technician site access as needed
