College of Medicine, Finance Business Center:

The College of Medicine, Office of Administration and Finance oversees the budget, supervises human resources, ensures the availability and maintenance of appropriate facilities, and sees that resources are spent appropriately and effectively to manage the college.

The Opportunity:

The University of Central Florida (UCF) College of Medicine (COM) Finance Business Center is seeking qualified candidates for a Finance/Budget Analyst II position. The Finance/Budget Analyst II supports decision-making and planning through preparation or review of meaningful, accurate, and timely financial information.

Responsibilities:

  • Approve, deny, or return spend transactions, costing changes, and budget amendments in Workday to ensure appropriate work tags are being used and transactions are appropriate. Perform expense transfers, work tag reclassifications, fund transfers, and budget amendments as needed.

  • Assist with the preparation of the Annual GME Budget. Perform monthly reconciliation of GME revenue and expense transactions by Activity and Financial Site. Provide monthly analysis and financial reports to our hospital partner for the GME program.

  • Prepare specialized financial/ budgetary reports and regularly meet with department leaders to review the data. Prepare Ad Hoc reports requested by the supervisor.

  • Monitor budgetary variances and reconcile accounts to ensure the accuracy of transactions and correct as appropriate.

  • Work closely with assigned departments to develop budgets and update forecasts throughout the year. Input and adjust data in Adaptive planning as needed.

  • Cashiering responsibilities, which include the deposits of checks and credit card settlement payments and other duties as assigned, include but are not limited to timely completion of university and college training and updates.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience or combination of relevant comparable education and experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219. Click here for more information.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Related Bachelor's degree.

  • Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies as well as the ability to explain facts, processes, procedures, and financial concepts to others.

  • Ability to use computer systems to support, configure, run reports, enter data, or process information.

  • Ability to prepare annual reports, evaluate budget proposals, and analyze data to determine the costs and benefits of various programs.
